Srijan Chakraborty

STAFF

Co-Executive Director

Pronouns: He/Him

Srijan came to the nonprofit sector after nine years as a software engineer at Microsoft, drawn by a simple belief: that the skills he built could do more good here than anywhere else, with the added bonus of personal fulfillment.

Srijan holds Masters degrees in Social Work and in Computer Science. He previously worked as the Development & Communications Manager at The Sophia Way, an agency serving women experiencing homelessness. He then joined Hunger Intervention Program (HIP) in 2015 as Co-Executive Director.

Srijan is excited to co-lead the newly formed North Seattle Food Connection into a true community hub where any neighbor can access food, essential services, and genuine human connection.

When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his children, hiking in the mountains, listening to music, or reading a good book.
