Lisa Ferguson
BOARD
Secretary
Pronouns: She/Her
Lisa has worked to enhance corporate responsibility for protecting worker rights in global supply chains at the Fair Labor Association, Amazon, and Microsoft. She has been leading the upstream supply chain traceability program at Fanatics since January 2022 and is passionate about environmental sustainability.
Lisa relocated to Seattle for work in 2016 and started volunteering at North Helpline's Lake City food bank in 2020 as a way to support the community during the pandemic. "In my day job I try to improve the lives of supply chain workers around the world, but I wanted to get more involved in my community here at home." She joined the Board in 2022 and currently serves as its Secretary.
Lisa's mother instilled in her an appreciation for the hard work it took her immigrant grandfather to start a new life in this country. She has built life-long friendships with first generation immigrants who have become her second family. By supporting North Helpline's work, she hopes to pay forward the kindness her grandfather experienced from many people when he first arrived in the United States. "My first time volunteering at North Helpline, I was so impressed at how the organization serves our diverse North Seattle community with cultural sensitivity, dignity, and respect."
Lisa earned her Masters degree in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, as well as her Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Culture and French from Indiana University, Bloomington.
She lives in Maple Leaf and enjoys hiking in the PNW, cooking global cuisine with local fresh produce, and volunteering at Meadowbrook Community Garden.
