Pronouns: He/Him

Dan first connected with North Helpline at the Empty Bowls event in 2018, where he was drawn to North Helpline’s commitment to welcoming all members of our community while affirming the dignity and worth of those it serves. He joined the Board in 2025.

He grew up near Sacramento, CA and received a degree in Economics from California State University, Fullerton, before completing his law degree at Duke University. While at Duke, his involvement in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and the Low-Income Taxpayer and Health Justice clinics shaped his commitment to volunteer service.

He moved to Seattle in 2015 to join Cascade Asset Management Company, where his role includes charitable planning and working with tax-exempt organizations.

Dan enjoys getting outdoors in the PNW and participating in his family's annual competition to grow the largest heirloom purple onion.
